Female magistrates will record statements of rape victims

Staff Correspondent:  Only female magistrates will record statements of female and child victims of rapes and sexual harassments.

The Supreme Court (SC) administration issued a circular in this regard on Tuesday.

According to the circular, chief judicial magistrates and chief metropolitan magistrates across the country will give assignment to female magistrates for recording statements of female and child rape and sexual harassed victims.
