Female medical student found dead in Rajshahi

Staff Correspondent, Rajshadi: Police recovered body of a female medical student from her own living room of the city's Bahrampur Bank colony area on Saturday evening.
The deceased was identified as Jannatul Wahida Mitu, 23, daughter of Professor Motiur Rahman of the area.
She was a third-year BDS student of Rajshahi Medical College (RMC).
Hafizur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rajparha Police Station, confirmed the news.
Quoting family members, the OC said, "Mitu sat for an examination on Saturday. She informed family members that the exam was not satisfactory. Then, several of the family members scolded her. Later, she locked her living room from inside."
"Family members called her to open the door as it was found locked till 6:30pm, but she did not respond. Then, she was found hanging with ceiling fan, after breaking the door," he added.
The body was sent to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH) for autopsy. The incident is under investigation, the OC said.
