Film maker Kazi Hayat hospitalized in New York

Entertainment Correspondent: Veteran director and actor Kazi Hayat was admitted to a hospital in New York following sickness over cardiac problems.

Actor Kazi Mafur, son of the film maker confirmed the matter on Tuesday.

Kazi Hayat had open heart surgery in 2005. Later, he was taken to New York following heart complications.

Earlier on February 9, the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina provided financial assistance for his better treatment.

Starting his career as an assistant director in 1974, Kazi Hayat went to make a number of blockbuster movies and won several international awards including the prestigious National Film award.
