Fire at Chattogram railway workshop

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: Pahartali railway workshop in Chattogram city caught fire around 10:45 am on Wednesday.
At least 15 people working in the workshop were admitted to hospitals after they fell sick following the fire incident due to thick black smoke.
Confirming the matter, Didarul Alam, station officer of Agrabad Fire Service Station, said the fire originated while cutting steel objects with gas cutter. But the fire was immediately brought under control with the help of fire extinguisher.
At least 15 people fell sick due to excessive black smoke, he added.
Five of the sick people were admitted to Chattogram Medical College Hospital and 10 others to railway hospital, he said.
All of the sick people are out of danger, according to a source at the hospital.
