Fire at Ctg power plant snaps supply for 5 hrs

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: A fire broke out at a sub-station plant of the district's Hathazari on Saturday night which snapped power supply for five hours.

Agrabad Fire Service control room official Prahallad Chandra Singh confirmed the news to risingbd.

He said the fire broke out at sub-station booster of Egaro mile area. Being informed, Hathazari Fire Service rushed to spot and managed the blaze with their frantic efforts of two hours.

Though the incident hampered power supply to the Chittagong city and several of upazilas, it was restored in five hours.
