Fire at Gazipur cotton mill

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: A fire broke out at Eco Cotton Mill at Masterbari area of the district's Shreepur upazila on Tuesday noon.

Members of five units of local fire service were trying to douse the blaze while the report was filed.

Md Akhtaruzzaman, Deputy Director of Gazipur Fire Service, confirmed the news.

He said, "Eco Cotton Mill caught fire around 12:00am on Tuesday. Being informed, five units of local fire service rushed to the spot. They are trying to douse the blaze."

He, however, could not tell the reason of originating fire.
