First janaza of Ayub Bachchu held

Entertainment Desk: The first namaz-e-janaza of legendary singer, composer and founder of rock band LRB Ayub Bachchu was held at the National Eidgah Maidan in the capital following Jummah prayers on Friday.

People from all walks of life joined the namaz-e-janaza. Over 50,000 people gathered there to pay their respects.

After the janaza, the body will be kept at Square Hospital mortuary.

Earlier, the body was taken to Shaheed Minar around 10:15am. The body was kept there until 12:30pm giving a chance to his fans, well-wishers and followers to see him for the last time.

The son and daughter of Ayub Bachchu will come home from abroad on Saturday. Later, the legendary singer will be buried at the family graveyard in Chattogram.
