Five burnt people taken to ICU

Staff Correspondent: All the nine people burnt in the Chawkbazar devastating fire are now at risk out of which five people have been taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

DMCH's Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit Coordinator Dr Samanta Lal Sen on Friday noon said, “The burnt people who were at risk are still passing a risky hour. Their throttle has been burnt in the fire. Their treatment is undergoing and they have been shifted to ICU.”

The fire incident took place in old Dhaka’s Chawkbazar area around 10.30 pm on Wednesday that claimed 67 lives, including children and women.
