Four AL camps vandalised, another gutted

Faridpur Correspondent: Four electioneering camps of the ruling Awami League (AL) were allegedly vandalised at Bhanga upazila in Faridpur on Friday night.

Besides, AL office and electioneering camp of ward 14 under sadar upazila and municipality was allegedly torched in the night.

Deepak Majumdar, vice-president of Bhanga upazila AL, said supporters of independent candidate Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury (Nixon) carried out the attacks with lethal weapons. They vandalised camps of Maligram under Chandora Union Parishad (UP), Khamirarbag of Gharua UP, Shimul Bazar of Azimnagar UP and Charmanai.



On the other hand, Zillur Rahman, Juba League leader of ward no. 14 of sadar upazila, said AL electioneering camp of Mahmudpur was torched by miscreants on Friday night.

Lodging cases over the incidents were under process while the report was filed, according to police stations concerned.
