Garo women murder: 2 give statement, 2 remanded

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court has placed two accused of Gulshan Garo women murder on a three-day remand each.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Sarafuzzaman Ansari passed the order on Friday.
Meanwhile, the other two accused gave confessional statement in the case.
Of the four accused, Sanjib Chiran and Razu Sangma gave confessional statement while Probin Sangma and Shuvo Chisim were remanded.
Earlier, Salauddin Mia, Inspector (civil) of Gulshan Police Station, produced the four accused before the court and filed a petition for recording confessional statement of Sanjib and Razu.
He also filed another petition seeking a 10-day remand for Prabin and Shuvo each.
After, hearing the court granted three-day remand for each.
It may be mentioned that Besset Chiran, 65, and her daughter Sujata Chiran, 40, were found dead at their rented flat at Kalachandpur of Gulshan on Tuesday evening.
Of them, Sujata was hacked to death while her mother Besset was strangulated to death. The incident of double murder might be happened over family feud.
Deceased Sujata’s husband Ashish Mankin filed a case in this connection with Gulshan Police Station on Wednesday.
Sujata’s nephew (son of sister) Sanjib and three of his friends were sued in the case.
