Gazipur, Khulna city polls: BNP wants army deployment

Staff Correspondent: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has demanded deployment of army before seven days of the upcoming elections to Gazipur and Khulna cities.
BNP leader Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain made the disclosure while addressing reporters after a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) K M Nurul Huda on Tuesday.
The party also demanded immediate removal of Gazipur Police Super (SP) Mohammad Harun-Or-Rashid.
Elections to Gazipur and Khulna City Corporations will be held on May 15 under party banner.
Earlier this morning, a delegation, led by standing committee member Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, met chief election commissioner KM Nurul Huda and placed these demands.
