‘Gazipur win will show the way of victory in future’

Desk Report: Mayor-elect of Gazipur Jahangir Alam and commissioners of the city corporation called on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her Gonobhaban residence in the capital along with local Awami League leaders.

Alam presented a bouquet to the prime minister.

Sheikh Hasina greeted the mayor and commissioners and congratulated the people of Gazipur for electing the Awami League candidates in the election.

The prime minister said the Gazipur election manifested that every win is possible if the party leaders remain united.

None can prevent Awami League when the party is determined to achieve anything, she said.

Sheikh Hasina said the victory in Gazipur election would show the party the way of victory in future.

AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader, Minister for Liberation War Affairs AKM Mozammel Haque, president of Gazipur City Awami League Advocate Azmat Ullah Khan and mayor Jahangir Alam also spoke on the occasion.

The prime minister highlighted the socioeconomic development of Bangladesh under the present government saying Awami League should come to power again to continue the pace of development.

She also urged for strong coordination between senior and junior leaders and maintaining discipline in the party. _BSS
