Govt declares Dec 30 public holiday

Staff Correspondent: December 30 (Sunday) has been declared as public holiday on the occasion of the 11th general election. On the day, all offices and courts will remain closed.
M Atiar Rahman, deputy secretary of Election Commission (EC), confirmed the news on Tuesday.
He said, “A letter in this regard signed by EC joint secretary Farhad Ahmed Khan was sent to Public Administration Ministry on Monday. The ministry was asked to take steps over the matter.”
