Senior Correspondent: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir alleged that the government is plotting to keep Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its chairperson Khaleda Zia out of the next general election.
The BNP stalwart came up with the allegation from a human chain programme in front of Jatiya Press Club in the capital on Tuesday.
Fakhrul said, "The government is hatching different types of conspiracies to keep Khaleda Zia, her party along with 20 party-alliance out of the upcoming general election."
"The existence of our country will be endangered if we failed to prevent or to stop the conspiracies," he added.
He also urged all political parties to be united without any delay and stage demonstration against the conspiracies.
He said, "Khaleda Zia must be released by demonstration and mass upsurge immediately."
