Govt renames ministry of environment and forests

Secretariat Correspondent: The government has renamed the "Ministry of Environment and Forests" as the "Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change".
The approval came at the regular cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office in Dhaka on Monday.
Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam briefed reporters after the meeting.
He said, from now climate change issue will be added with the new name of the ministry.
