Govt to be forced to release Khaleda: Rizvi

Senior Reporter: BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said that people will force the government to release BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.

The BNP leader said this at a press conference held at the party’s Nayapaltan central office in the city on Friday noon.

Terming the Khaleda Zia’s case as politically motivated one, Rizvi alleged that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her self-satisfaction after sending Khaleda Zia to jail.

“Prime Minister said where she (Khaleda) is today. The Prime Minister expressed her superiority by saying this. It seems, she felt a sense of self-satisfaction over the judgment,” Rizvi said.

“It is nothing but an outcome of politics of vengeance and Sheikh Hasina has met her desire through the judgment to keep Khaleda Zia out of the election process,” Rizvi also said.
