HC asks BSTI to test seasonal fruits every 2 months

Staff Correspondent: The High Court (HC) has asked Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) to test seasonal fruits available in market every two months.

The court also asked the state institution to continue process to prevent use of health hazardous chemicals in fruits.

The bench of Justice FRM Nazmul Ahasan and Justice KM Kamrul Kader came up with the order on Sunday.

Besides, the court also asked the authority concerned to set up chemical testing unit at land ports to ensure whether chemical-mixed fruits are imported in the country.
