HC issues ban on laminating posters in city polls

The High Court (HC) issued a ban on using posters laminated with plastic during the electioneering in the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) polls from today.

The court also directed the two city corporations and the election commission to take effective steps in order to stop the production of laminating posters.

Besides, the court asked the authorities concerned to remove all the posters already put up on walls or other structures in a proper way after the elections.

Taking a news report published in this regard into cognizance, an HC bench came up with the order on Wednesday.
