Remove wastage within 6am: HC

Staff Correspondent: The High Court (HC) has ordered the authorities concerned to remove wastages from two city corporations (Dhaka South City Corporation, Dhaka North City Corporation) within 6am.

The HC bench comprising justice Kazi Reza-ul Haque and justice Mohammad Ullah passed the order on Monday noon.

The court also directed the authorities to use covered-van during wastage removal process.

Barrister Mahfuzur Rahman Milon stood for the writ petitioner while Deputy Attorney General Taposh Kumar Biswas moved for the state.

Later, Barrister Mahfuzur Rahman Milon said that the authorities have to implement the order of the court from today.

Earlier on September 9, a national daily published a news titled "378 open trucks spreading wastage in city". Later, following the report, Barrister Mahfuzur Rahman Milon filed a writ petition before the court.
