HC rejects MP Rana's bail petition

Staff Correspondent: Awami League MP (Tangail-3) Amanur Rahman Khan Rana’s bail petition was rejected by the High Court on Sunday.

The bench of Justice Borhanuddin and. Justice Md. Ashraful Kamal rejected his plea.

Earlier, the rule hearing over Rana's bail was ended on Thursday.

A murder case was filed after Tangail Awami League leader freedom fighter Faruk's bullet-hit body was found in his hometown on January 18, 2013.

Following the murder, victim's wife Nahar Ahmed filed a case with Tangail Sadar police station.

Later, police pressed charges against 14 people, including MP Rana and his three brothers, in February 2016.
