HC summons director general of DSHE

Staff Correspondent: The High Court summoned Professor Dr Syed Md Golam Faruk, director general of Secondary and Higher Education Directorate to appear before it to explain contempt of court charges.

The bench of Justice Mamnoon Rahman and Justice Ashish Ranjan Das passed the summon order on Sunday for not complying with the earlier order. The court also asked him to appear before it on July 31.

Lawyer Mohammad Siddik Ullah Mia moved for the petitioner during the hearing.

Siddik Ullah Mia said, on March 13, 2017, the high court the authority concerned to enlist 19 college teachers giving MPO to them at Jhenaidah’s Saleha Begum Degree College. Later, the teachers filed contempt of court case.
