Helena Jahangir submits nomination form

Helena Jahangir, chairman of Joyatra Television, has submitted nomination form for the mayoral post in the upcoming Dhaka North City Corporation election.

Helena was flanked by a large number of supporters while submitted her form on Friday morning.

After submitting the nomination paper officially, she said, “Many people in the city want me as mayor. They have worked hard to get nomination for me.”

She said, “Participating in mayoral election is a challenge. I am ready to take the challenge. But, everything is depending on the party decision.”

If the leader nominates me then I will transform Dhaka as a modern city. I want to complete the incomplete task of former Mayor Anisul Haque,” she added.
