Helicopters to control fire, Several victims rescued

Senior Correspondent: A total of 17 units of Fire Service are working to douse the deadly fire broken at F R Tower on Road no-17 in the capital’s Banani.

Members of Army, Navy and Air Force also joined the rescue operation with two helicopters.

Rescue workers managed to bring out several people from inside the building. They were taken to hospital by ambulances.

The fire, however, was brought under control till the report was filed on Thursday afternoon. Deep smoke covered the whole area.

Sand was being dropped from helicopter. Besides, attempt was made to rescue people trapped in the building.
