House tutor kills student’s mother in Ctg

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: A woman was hacked to death by house tutor of her daughter as he had been rejected after love proposal.

The incident took place at Biswa colony area under the city Akbar Shah Police Station on Tuesday noon.

The deceased was known as Shahina Begum, 35.

Locals caught the killer house tutor, Shajahan, 27, and handed over to police.

Police primarily guessed that Shajahan might have committed the murder as he was furious after the student refused his proposal of love affairs and cancelled him from tuition.

According to locals, Shajahan hacked the woman with a sharp knife, leaving her in serious condition. She was rushed to Chattogram Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) where attending doctors declared her dead.
