‘Humiliation of Bangabandhu will not be tolerated’

Staff Correspondent: “Any kind of humiliation aimed at Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman will not be tolerated. Tough movement will be orchestrated against those who will be involved in such execrable activities,” said Vice-Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Prof Dr Kamrul Hasan Khan.

The BSMMU vice-chancellor came up with the remark while speaking at a human chain in front of the national press club in the capital on Saturday.

Peshajibi Somonnay Parishad, a platform of pro-Awami League professionals, organized the human chain in protest against the attack on Bangladesh High Commission office in London and the humiliation of portrait of Father of the Nation.

Kamrul Hasan Khan, also the secretary general of Peshajibi Somonnay Parishad, said, “They will lay seize the British High Commission in Bangladesh if exemplary punishment for the culprits involved in the attack is not ensured within seven days.”

Speakers at the human chain demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishment for those who masterminded the attack.
