Hundreds of shops gutted in Ctg fire

Staff Correspondent: Over hundreds shops and some jute warehouses were gutted in fire that broke out in EPZ rail gate and Cinema Palace areas of Chattogram early Thursday.

Fire service deputy assistant director Jasim Uddin said fire broke out in Munshi Colony, Moktar Colony, Badal Colony and Dilunir Colony of EPZ rail gate areas this morning, leaving hundreds houses, 15 shops and four warehouses were gutted.

On the other hand, a fire broke out from a tire shop in Kotwali area. Later, couple of fire service units rushed to the spot and doused the blaze.

Chattogram fire service control room confirmed the matters.
