Husband-wife found dead in city

Staff Correspondent: Police on Thursday night recovered bodies of a couple from a house of Bhasantek area in the capital’s Mirpur.

The deceased were identified as Rashed, 26, and his wife Mala Begum, 20.

Sabbir Ahmed, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhasantek Police Station, on Friday confirmed the news.

He said, “The bodies were found hanging in a house near the two-storey mosque of Dewanpara on Thursday night. The bodies were sent to morgue of Shaheed Suhrawardi Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.”

Locals said the couple came to the house in the current month (December). Neighbours doubted as they could not hear them on Thursday. Later, they informed police the matter.”

Rashed, son of Siddique Mia, hailed from Bhola Sadar upazila while Mala from Chandpur.
