Yeasin Hasan, from London: Bangladesh will kick off the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 campaign with the match against South Africa on Sunday at the Oval.
The match will be started around 3:30pm (Bangladesh Time). The Tigers were worried over the availability of star opener Tamim Iqbal, who has now been declared fit to play. Captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza was also nursing a knock, but he will also be playing, much to the relief of the fans.
“If the team can start well then confidence of the whole will be increased,” said skipper Mashrafe.
Bangladesh somehow wants to start the world cup mission in winning combination. The team players will fight to win the game against South Africa.
Prior to the opening match, Bangladesh played two warm-up matches. First match against Pakistan was abandoned due to rain and India won the second match by 95 runs. However, three Asia countries Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Afghanistan could not start their world cup mission in better way. Most of the batsmen of these three teams were flop.
Following the matter, Mashrafe said, “Attacking batting would be main reason behind the losing early wickets. That’s why keeping wickets in hand is important for us.”
“We will arrange the team with our best players. It’s a big tournament. We hope all of us will get scope in the stage of world cup,” Mashrafe said.
Bangladesh started an amazing cricket fight in One Day Internationals after the world cup of 2015. Mustafizur joined the team in 2016 which created a new dimension in pace bowling. Quarter-finalist of 2015 World Cup, Bangladesh team will eye to a perfect start by carrying the recent form against the Proteas.
