IUJA gets new committee

IU Correspondent: Abdullah Al-Faruk of Daily Inqilab and Emran Shuvro of Daily Manab Zamin were elected as the new president and secretary respectively of Islamic University Journalists’ Association.

The election was held at the university’s press corner on Sunday.

IU information, publication and public relation office head, M Ataul Haque announced the results of the election as the assistant election commissioner.

The other office bearers of the committee are- KM Mahfuzur Rahman of Daily Ittefaq and Tabibur Rahman Akash of The Daily Sangram as the vice presidents, Saifullah Himel of Daily Nayadiganta as the joint secretary, Irfan Mahmud Rana of NTV online as the office secretary, Humayun Kabir Shuvo of Daily Sun as treasurer, Ashikur Rahman Bony of Andolonerbazar as the publication secretary, Al-Kawsar of Dotnewsbangla.com and Atiqur Rahman Onny of Daily Manabkantha as the members.

Later, IU vice-chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari along with pro-vice-chancellor Professor M Shahinoor Rahman and Treasurer Professor M Selim Toha came to IUJA office and accorded them with floral wreaths.
