Illegal wealth: Charge sheet against Nur Hossain’s wife

Staff Correspondent: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has approved a charge sheet against death row convict Nur Hossain’s wife Roma Hossain in case filed for amassing illegal wealth of Tk 5 crore. 

According to the allegation, the anti-graft watchdog found more Tk4.2 crore illegal wealth of Roma Hossain.

The office of ACC public relations confirmed the matter on Tuesday.

Earlier, on August 1 2016, Deputy Director Md Julfikar Ali filed the case with Ramna Police Station against Nur Hossain and his wife Roma, for amassing wealth illegally worth and concealing information additional Tk. 2.82cr.  

Nur is accused in almost a dozen cases, including one filed over the killing of seven people in April 2014.
