Indefinite bus strike enforced in Jhalakathi

Jhalakathi Correspondent: Bus workers enforced indefinite strike on 14 routes in Jhalakathi in protest of beating a worker on Thursday.

Mojibor Rahman, president of Jhalakathi bus workers union, announced the strike on Wednesday night.

Commuters on different routes fell in worst sufferings due to the strike.

According to bus workers, a bus was heading to swarupkathi from Jhalakathi town on Wednesday afternoon.  On the way, drivers of Mahendra, popularly known as Votvoti, beat up Abul Kalam, supervisor of the bus. He was admitted to Barisal Sher-E-Bangla Medical College and Hospital.

Jhalakathi bus workers union president Mojibor Rahman also confirmed the news.
