Indefinite transport strike in Sylhet withdrawn

Staff Correspondent, Sylhet: The indefinite transport strike called by District Microbus Association in Sylhet has been withdrawn.

The strike which began at 6.00am Saturday has been called off after a meeting of transport leaders with administration, Shah Ripon Ahmed, President of Sylhet District Microbus Association confirmed.

The strike was enforced by District Microbus Association demanding the release of three transport labourers detained by police for carrying alcohol. The District Transport Labourers Union also joined the strike.
