India beat Bangladesh to clinch U-19 Asia Cup title

Sports Desk: India beat Bangladesh by 5 runs to clinch U-19 Asia Cup title at R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on Saturday.

The Junior Tigers were bowled out for 101 runs in 33 overs.

For India, Atharva Ankolekar smashed five wickets for 28 runs with two maidens in 8 overs while Akash Singh took three wickets for 12 runs in 5 overs.

Earlier, India won the toss and opted to bat first. The youths in blue managed to score 106 runs 32.4 overs.

For Bangladesh, Shamim Hossain hit three wickets for 8 runs with two maidens in 6 overs.
