'It’s a clear warning for corrupt politicians'

Staff Correspondent, Narayanganj: Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader said the verdict against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in Zia Orphanage Trust graft case is a clear warning for corrupt politicians.

The Road Transport and Bridges Minister made the opinion while inaugurating the super structure task of Meghna Bridge at Meghna Ghat in Narayanganj on Saturday.

He said, "Removing section 7 from BNP's constitution proved that it is a self-declared corrupt party."

"We are now working for development. We were also put in jail. I myself served four years in jail," he added.
