Ivy flies to Singapore for advanced treatment

Staff Correspondent, Narayanganj: Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy has flied to Singapore for advanced treatment.

She left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by a Bangladesh Airlines flight around 11:00am on Sunday.

Her elder son Simanto and younger brother Ahmed Ali Ripon accompanied her.

Ahmed Ali Reza Uzzal, Ivy's younger brother and general secretary of Metropolitan Juba League, and AFM Ehteshamul Haque, chief executive officer of NCC, confirmed the news.

Ivy sustained injuries during a clash between the supporters of local MP Shamim Osman and NCC mayor over hawker issue on footpath.

On January 18, she was admitted to Labaid hospital as she fell sick at her NCC office. She returned home after a treatment of five days in the hospital.
