JP candidate moves away for AL candidate in Kurigram

Kurigram Correspondent: Jatiya Party (JP) candidate Dr Akkas Ali Sarkar on Tuesday moved away from polls, offering his support to Awami League (AL) candidate M A Matin for Kurigram-3 constituency in the 11th general election.
He came up with the disclosure in a press briefing on Tuesday.
The announcement came after an hour-long meeting led by AL central committee joint general secretary Jahangir Kabir Nanak held at M A Matin’s house on the day.
AL central committee organising secretary BM Mozammel Hauque, AL candidate for Kurigram-1 AKM Mostafizur Rahman, AL candidate for Kurigram-2 Ponir Uddin Ahmed were present in the meeting.
Dr Akkas said in briefing that I took the decision to the honour of PM Sheikh Hasina and decision of the grand alliance.
