JU gets new proctor

JU Correspondent: The administration of Jahangirnagar University (JU) has temporarily appointed Shikdar Md. Zulkarnain, an Associate Professor of the Archeology Department, as new proctor of the varsity.

He took charges from registrar Abu Bakar Siddique at the varsity’s administration building on Wednesday evening.

Meanwhile, 12 more teachers were appointed as assistant proctor. They are: Assistant Professor M Rubel of the Management Department, Assistant Professor Habibur Rahman of the Statistics Department, Professor Suprovat Pal of the Law and Justice Department, Professor Sohel Rana Akter of the Drama and Dramatology Department, Professor Sumaiya Shifat of the Journalism and Media Studies Department, Miraz Rahman Khan of the International Relations Department, Professor Ikhtiar Uddin Bhuiyan of the Government and Politics Department, Professor Aklima Akter of the Anthropology Department, Professor M Mosabber Hossain of the same department,  Monir Uddin Shikdar of the Public Administration Department, Professor Quazi Golam Mortoza of the Physics Department and Professor S M A Moudud Ahmed of the Institute of Business Administration Department.
