Jashore 'gunfight' kills one

Staff Correspondent, Jashore: A drug peddler was killed in a 'gunfight' among themselves in Rudrapur village of Chhutipur road area in Jashore early Sunday.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

AKM Ajmal Huda, Officer-in-Charge of Jashore Katwali model police station said that acting on tip off that two group of drug peddlers were locked into a gun battle in the village, a team of police raided the area and found the bullet hit body of drug peddler, 35.

Later, the body was sent to Jessore Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

Meanwhile, 400 pieces of Yaba tablets, a one-shooter gun, one round of bullet and four bullets shells were seized from the spot.
