Jute mill workers block road in Khulna for 9-point demand

Staff Correspondent, Khulna: Jute mill workers blockaded the railway and roads in Khulna in strike over nine demands including formation of a wage commission.

Workers blockaded Dhaka-Khulna railway form 8:00am at Doulatpur and Khalishpur and placed a blockade on Khulna-Jessore highway.

The pinnacle of their demand is the implementation of the National Wage Commission 2015. Others include clearing dues, and compensating for workers’ death.
