'Khaleda, Tarique not be able to take part next polls'

Tangail Correspondent: Tarana Halim, the state minister for information said, Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman are convicted in corruption cases. So, according to the constitution, they will not be able to take part in next polls.
The Minister made the disclosure while addressing newsmen before joining a view exchange meeting with Awami League leaders at Tangail circuit house on Tuesday.
She said the government will take back the convicted Tarique Rahman maintaining proper procedures.
Tarana Halim also said, "BNP leaders are resorting to falsehood regarding the health condition of BNP Chairperson Begum Zia. All types of treatment facilities are given to her. If the government thinks that Khaleda Zia should be sent outside of the country for better treatment, then the government will do that."
