Khaleda Zia can take treatment at CMH: Ershad

Staff Correspondent, Rangpur: Jatiya Party Chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad said BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia can take treatment at Combined Medical Hospital (CMH) as a member of military family or she can also go to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) if she wishes.

The special envoy to Prime Minister Shiekh Hasina came up with the observation while talking to reporters at Rangpur Circuit House on Friday noon.

Ershad said, “I had been in jail for six years. I was not allowed to see face of doctors let alone go to hospital. They wanted me to die. But Allah saves me.”

Expressing support to the anti-drug drive, Jatiya Party Chairman said, “It needs to prevent drugs across the country. I have no mourning of their deaths who are spoiling society and youth by drug trading. But godfathers should also be brought under the drive.”

About the upcoming city corporation polls, Ershad said, “The ruling party Awami League (AL) is in better condition in the polls. I hope they will win the election. The Election Commission (EC) is frequently telling that the polls are will be in free and fair manners. It will not be predicted about the polls until these are happened. But I hope the election will be held in free and fair manners.”
