Khaleda Zia files writ to get back candidacy

Staff Correspondent: With a hope to get back candidacy, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia filed writ petitions with the High Court (HC) challenging the Election Commission (EC) decision that rejected her nominations for Feni-1, Bogura-6 and 7 constituencies to contest in the upcoming 11^th parliamentary election.

Khaleda’s lawyer Barrister Nawshad Jamir confirmed the matter on Sunday.

Yesterday, the EC rejected the three appeals filed by Khaleda Zia challenging the nomination rejection by the returning officers.
