Khaleda’s treatment: Next hearing on petition Oct 1

Staff Correspondent: A writ petition, filed by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia seeking directive on the government to send her to a specialized hospital in Dhaka for treatment, has been adjourned.

The High Court will hear the writ petition on October 1.

The bench of Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif and Justice Ahmed Sohel passed the order on Tuesday.

Khaleda filed the writ petition on September 9 seeking her proper medical treatment after independent medical examination at a specialised hospital recommended by her personal physicians on June 9.

She also urged the court to ask the government to submit her medical files to the court and make them available to her lawyers.
