Khulna University students have begun a movement to press home their five-point demand including lowering fees.
The students staged a sit-in programme in front of the administrative building on Wednesday night.
Students gathered in front of the Hadi Chattor around 10.00am on Thursday, and after 12.00pm they restarted their sit-in programme.
The demands also include solution to accommodation and transport crisis.
Students complained that the university authorities had been increasing different fees every year and some fees were increased up to 122 per cent in last seven years.
One of the students said, ‘If the demands are not properly addressed, we will go for tough movement.’
Another student said, ‘We are concerned about the high rate of increasing fees every year.’
