Kidnapped kid rescued, 2 held in city

Staff Correspondent: Police has rescued a five-year-old Sumaiya, who had been kidnapped on April 2 from Kamrangir Char area.

In a press conference at Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) media center, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ibrahim of Lalbagh zone police made the disclosure on Thursday noon.

 

He said, police rescued Sumaiya from a residence in Kadamtali area of Jurain around 2:00am. Meanwhile, police also detained two persons including a woman named Sabina Aktar.

Earlier, on April 3, kidnappers abducted the girl. Later, victim's father, who works for a steel manufacturing company, filed a kidnapping case with Kamrangichar police station.
