'Knowledge from training should be applied at workstation'

Staff Correspondent: Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said knowledge gained from training should be implemented at workstation.

The minister made the assertion while addressing a programme at the conference room of Bangladesh Bureau of Educational Information and Statistics (BANBEIS) in the capital on Friday.

He said, "The knowledge from training should be practiced. Teachers and staff of education institutes in upazila level should be well trained."

Nahid said, "UITRC is very important to increase the use and efficiency of ICT in the field of education. These will play an important role in expansion of digital technology in education and quality development."

The minister also said, "Several types of activities are done through online process including admission. The examination results are being made paperless. Digital content and e-books are being made. The teachers should be trained and skilled in this regard."

BANBEIS director Md Fasiullah presided over the programme where Secretary of Secondary and Higher Education Division Md. Alamgi and others attended the function.
