Kohli lauds his wife’s outstanding performance

Entertainment Desk: Indian skipper Virat Kohli has finally watched actress and wife Anushka Sharma's Zero and had some nice things to say about the movie.

Released on Friday, the much-awaited flick opened to polarising reviews worldwide. While movie critics hailed the performances of the stars, the Twitterati didn't take it easy on the romantic-drama, giving out brutally honest reviews.

Directed by Aanand L Rai, Shah Rukh plays the role of a vertically challenged man, named Bauaa Singh. While Katrina plays a popular actress battling alcoholism and Anushka essays the role of a wheelchair-bound scientist.

Taking to Twitter on a lazy Sunday, Kohli praised his wife's performance, calling it 'outstanding,' for it was a challenging role according to the Indian Team captain.

"Saw @Zero21Dec and loved the entertainment it brought. I enjoyed myself. Everyone played their parts well. Loved @AnushkaSharma performance because I felt it was a very challenging role and she was outstanding," Kohli wrote.

Kohli, who is no stranger to online trolling, soon faced the wrath of online users, who called him a 'liar' and blamed the praise on his 'husband duties', which pressurised him in to lauding his wife's performance.
