Krishi Bank's ex-DGM sent to jail

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court has sent former deputy general manager (DGM) of Bangladesh Krishi Bank Zubayer Manjur to jail on charge of three cases.

Judge Kamrul Hossain Mollah of the Dhaka Senior Special Judges Court passed the order after hearing in the cases on Tuesday.

Earlier, the accused surrendered before the court and sought bail petition. Meanwhile, Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) lawyer Mir Ahmed Salam opposed the bail.

ACC lawyer Mir Ahmed Ali Salam said that the watchdog filed the case against the former DGM as showing false papers Zubayer Manjur embezzled Tk 430 crore joining others.
