Kuwait students conduct medical camp in Bangladesh

A total of 26 students of Kuwait Medical College provided medical service in Bangladesh. Guests and students seen at a reception at a city hotel recently.

Staff Correspondent: A total of 26 students of Kuwait Medical College provided free medical service in Bangladesh.

In a four-day service programme, they gave Hepatitis A vaccine free of cost to 1500 students of different schools and madrashas in Bangladesh.

At that time, education materials and school bags were also distributed among them.

After successful completion of the medical camp, a reception programme was arranged in honor of students at Westin Hotel in the city on Monday night. Kuwait’s Ambassador to Bangladesh Adel Mohammad Hayat was present as the chief guest, says a press release.

Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Dhaka Saed Mohammed Al-Mheiri, Chief of KSR Kuwait’s foreign offices Mohammad Jasem Al-Holi and Chief Consultant of Birdem General Hospital Major General (Retd.) Prof. Dr. A.R. Khan were present as special guests. The guests handed over crests among the students.

KSR-Bangladesh office director general Dr Gazi Md Jahirul Islam presided over the programme. SITCB Director Md. Abdul Kuddus and Arial Beel Mother and Child Foundation’s Secretary General Advocate AKM Azizur Rahman were also present.

The first round vaccination campaign was conducted from July 26 to July 29 at Dohar of Dhaka, Sreepur of Gazipur, Saturia of Manikganj and Kagojipara of Munshiganj.


The second round will be conducted in January of 2019. Kuwait Society for Relief (KSR), Najat Charity Society and Kuwait Medical Students Association are financing the project.
