Launch service on Paturia-Doulatdia route halted

Manikganj Correspondent: Launch service on Paturia-Daulatdia remains suspended due to strong current in the river Padma triggered by inclement weather on Monday.
The authority stopped the service around 11:30am in the route.
Assistant Director (transport) of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) at Aricha office Faridul Islam said the authority decided to halt the launch operation from 10:00am to ward off any untoward incident.
There are 32 launches in the routes.
